removing or bypassing Kona Magic Link... Anyone done it?

I've got a '11 Cadabra and really love the bike, but I'm not exactly 100% sold on the magic link. I think the unit as a whole works well, but the I don't think there is enough adjustability in the auxiliary shock. I know that Kona is working on an air shock to replace the coil and it makes fine tuning easier, but who knows when that is going to come available... I'm wondering about just removing or bypassing the auxiliary shock all together and installing a dhx air in place of the RP23. Has anyone done something similar to this or found that article or forum post that seems to be escaping me where this has already been done?

I just hope that Slaven isn't the only guy to ever see one. I'm half tempted to just have a bracket machines to replace the aux shock all together. Hope kona warranty department never reads this haha
