    Question: 06 kula primo. Nokians

I've ordered this bike and am waiting for it to come, but am concerned that the stock tires on it are the wire bead ones that weigh in at a huge 680-odd grams. Does anyone know if they are the wire ones or the kevlar. I can't believe kona would be stupid enough to put a 1.4kg pair of tires on a supposed race bike. Also does anyone know what kind of tubes come with this bike? Are they no-name? Thanks.

The 680g + tyre weight points towards the "NBX 2.1"" which is wire bead.

I think there are some OEM Nokians that are different from the aftermarket tyres.

Ah, according to that chart the 2.2 lites are 640. I really hope they are the folding tires and not the wire ones that come on the bike. Thanks for response

FWIW, The Maxxis Ignitors on my '07 Kula Deluxe were wire bead, not Kevlar, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the tires on your Primo are wire bead.

I've bought some panaracer 1.8 trailblasters, only 400g each, and some maxxis flyweight tubes, 105grams, will save me 550grams.
