Satori

Here is my Satori (size 20)

Swapped out 2x10 crank for 3x10, dropped big ring, added bash and stinger
Rear wheel is hadley hub laced to salsa semi 29 on a geax gato 2.3, front wheel changed out now too but doesn't show in pic. That IMO is the only weak spot on bike, the crappy flexy easton vices.
Changed to 90mm stem
I live in eastern MA north of Boston and the bike kills it around here. I'm 6'2 240lbs and the 20 fits me perfect.

2005 Kona Unit with SLX 11 speed and front suspension

Bicycle tire Bicycle frame Tire Wheel Bicycle wheel

Hola all! This is my 2005 Kona Unit that I recently bought used. It was a singlespeed but I added SLX 11 speed because lord knows I need the gears to go uphill. Picture above is this morning in northern California (Fremont Older Preserve in Saratoga/Cupertino), my first real ride on the bike since I bought and modified it.

Overall Specs:
2005 Kona Unit
* Fox F100 fork
* Ritchey wheelset
* Chris King Headset
* Truvativ Hussefelt Comp handlebar
* ODI grips
* Avid BB7 mechanical brakes (hoping to upgrade to SLX hydraulic once I've ridden the bike a bunch more)
* WTB Koda Race 2019 Saddle

Drivetrain details:
* SLX M7000 11sp shifter
* SLX M7000 175mm cranks
* SLX 34T front chainring
* SLX M7000 11-46T 11 speed casette
* SLX M7000 11S rear derailleur
* SLX 11sp chain

I rode it uphill today and was thankful for the wide gear range in the back, my engine really needed the help.

Picked up this 134 this winter and did a bunch of upgrades while waiting for spring to break! Coming from a 2020 YT Jeffsy, I really prefer the way this rides.

List of upgrades(from functional to looks):
DVO Topaz 3 rear shock
Revel RW30 carbon wheels(won them in a contest)
OneUp carbon bars/Spank Spoon 350 stem
OneUp dropper w/Wolftooth LA remote
PNW Loam grips
OneUp chain guide/bash guard
Mucky Nutz mud guards
Invisiframe
Wolftooth seat clamp

Excellent, Sir ! Time for questionnaire....

You can bolt a derailleur back there, don´t you?
How is that the paintjob looks so different from the Kona web´s pic ? Much darker, almost like 03 Explosif. (I´ll try to post it here)
Did you have the chance to weight the frame naked?(I mean the frame)
Is that a 100 mm fork?....no, is not! Or..is it? I´m sure Kona says the frame is for 80mm.

Thanks a lot

Oh, well..the derailleur question is obvious from this pic...You call them "mechs" in UK don´t you?
