My LBS has a 2013 mahuna on the floor, which I am interested in, but it looks like they tweaked the lineup for 2013 and changed the mahuna and upped the MSRP to 799$
Looks to me like they changed:
The 2013 fork: Suntour XCT LO 100mm
The 2014 fork: Suntour XCR 32 LO-R (Hydraulic speed lock and rebound adjustment)
2013 crankarms: FSA Dyna Drive
2014 Crankarms: SRAM S600 (I think this is a downgrade?)
2013 Chainrings 42/32/22t
2014 Chainrings 22/32/44t
2013 Freewheel Sram PG820 11-32t 8 spd
2014 Freewheel Shimano HG20 11-34t 9 spd
More speeds and a bigger big gear up front.
RD and shifters go from Sram x4 to Altus
Brakes go from Avid Elixer 1 to shimano m395 (I think this is a downgrade!?)
Hubs go from formula to joytech
Rims go from WTB SX23 to WTB SX19 - probably to solve the tire rubbing issues reported on the mahuna?
How big of a discount should I expect to get on the 2013 when the 2014s roll in? Lets say I could score the 2013 for around 600$, now we are looking at $200 difference. Is the 2014 worth the extra dough?
