I'm looking at possibly buying a 2004 coiler frame. Just got a few questions:
- It's a 18" frame. I currently ride a 17" 2004 specialized rockhopper - will there be much of a difference in sizing? Is a 17" specialized the same size as a 17" kona (I could probably cope with a 1" larger frame if it is) - if not what is? I'm 5'8", with a 30/31" leg in-seam. I'm only 16 years old, so I may still grow a bit - is it sensible to get this size frame?
- I mainly do all mountain/aggresive xc riding. I like to do small jumps (perhaps 2-3') if I can find them, but still like to be able to ride up and down most trails. I'm not seriously worried about having a super light bike, but would like it to not be too heavy so that I can still do relatively xc rides. Will the coiler be able to cope with this? How light can the coiler be built up with not too expensive components?
- I will be fitting fox vanilla 130r forks, deore 525 discs, shimano lx/xt drivetrain, easton handlebars. These suitable for the frame?
