I have a 2006 Cinder Cone and I'm interested in upgrading the handlebars. My old bike (a mid 90's Giant Iguana) has a much narrower handle bar and when I ride the Kona on the trail it feels a bit sluggish on tight turns. Maybe that is just something I could get used to, but I came across these handlebars at a decent discount at Wheelworld.com.

Easton Monkeylite SL
Easton Monkeylite XC high

According to what I can dig up, the current Kona high risers are 50mm rise, 660mm width, 25.4mm bar clamp and 1 1/8" steerer.

I'm looking for a change but maybe not one that is too drastic. Which of the Easton's would you recommend? If I buy a new handlebar, do I also need a new stem?

Thanks so much for any help you can offer. I'm a bit of a newb and can use all the help I can get!
