Found a *NEW* 2010 Kona Dawg for $600
A local bike shop near me has a new and never used 2010 kona dawg for $600. Is this a good deal? He says it comes with the full warranty too.
My current rides are a 2012 GF Marlin 29er SS and a 2011 felt q620. I've been itching for a full suspension bike but knew a quality bike would be out of my range. Should I grab it or keep saving?Attachment 749134

If it fits, it's a great deal for $600.

It's an entry level full suspension bike. The fork is a spring fork v. an air fork, so it's not as nice... But it will work ok for the money.

I thought it had the tora 302 solo air fork 130mm front fork.

Oh nice. Thought the Tora was a spring fork. In that case even better. Can't knock that bike for $600 new.

Tora comes in both air and coil

I drove to the shop to check out the bike and it turns out the ad was a lie 1400 for the Dawg BUT they have used full suspension kona's from 600. The $600 dollar bike is a 2007 king kikapu. It seems like a decent bike and its lighter than the dawg. Still a good deal?Attachment 750204

Is it used? If so, it's impossible to tell from a photo if it's used or abused. Check it out closely, but if it's in good shape the price sounds reasonable. That said, 2007 is now six years behind current geo. The TT looks ridiculously short in the photo but photos can be misleading. Key question: do you like the fit & ride characteristics?

$1400 for a 2-3 year old Dawg??? You should try to talk them down, waaay down on that. That bike has probably been sitting on their floor for a long time. The Dawg is a good bike, and a new 2010 would be a good deal for around $1000.
