    First ride on my Operator

Bought a used 2011 Kona Operator from Winter Park's Tressel bike park in CO. $1500 for the bike, a full face helmet, fox body armor and a season's pass to tressel. Not a bad deal! Took it apart, cleaned it and rebuilt it. It's really not in bad shape....
Anyways, it's my first downhill bike and I just finished my first ride. Hour long push up insanely steep terrain in Avon, CO. Maybe a four minute decent? Followed by some urban in town. Holy crap! Down hill bikes are just lovely! Everything I rode was about thirty times easier than I expected it to be. I live 10 minutes from the bike park at Vail, an hour from Keystone and two hours from tressel. I have seasons passes to each park. I think I'm about to have a lot of fun.........
So, in short, i've never ridden any other DH bikes, but I'm pretty sure the operator is not too shabby.
