    Coiler Delux Spring Weight

What is the standard spring weight on an 05 Coiler delux? I just bought an '05 delux 17 inch and it shipped with an 800 pound spring. My LBS switched it to a 500 lb x 2.8 spring when they put it together, but I think the stock spring is a 550 lb. I am 176lbs and ride all kinds of terrain including free ride and even on the road to work a bit. This is my first dual suspension bike so I wanted some input on what the proper weight spring would be. Is 500 ok or should I be looking at a 550 or 600? Thanks.

    From Kona's tech info sheets:
    Spring Rates; Coilers: 15-450 lb, 17-550 lbs, 18-650 lbs, 19-700 lbs, 20 - 750 lbs
I am a bit lighter than you and the stock 700# spring on my 19" Coiler DL is prefect. I only need a small amount of preload to get the correct sag.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
