    Clydesdale Interested in Kona HT

I have my 09 Specialized Rockhopper all built up, but I don't know if the frame is up to the task of getting thrashed by 265# of me. Don't know if its a good test or not, but while standing over my bike, I tip it 25-30 degree from vertical, and apply power to the ds pedal, I am pretty sure I see the bb area flexing, and the chainstays flexing also. as it appears that the gap from the cs to the rear tire changes when I put power to the pedal.

I am looking for a stout 29er Hardtail bike frame, going to be running gears with front susp. fork.

I am thinking the Kona Big Unit might be my best choice for a stiff frame.

I'm 330# and ride a 2011 Unit that hasn't failed me yet, so it easily gets my vote! The Big Unit is aluminum (I'm sure you know this already...), so that would diffinitely be stiff but maybe not as robust as a steel frame in the long run.
