Can my 2004 Kona Dawg Matic handle a 140mm fork?
OEM spec on the dawg matic is a 100mm EXR and I have since been running a 130mm fox TALAS with no issues. An opportunity to swap for 140mm fork has arisen. I know it is ill advised to add longer forks than a frame is built for but with a 68 degree head angle I feel it should be slack enough to mesh well with the longer legs. Anyone running anything longer on their 2004 Dawg? Any significant geometry issues as a result?

Personally ... I'd go for it.
I really doubt an extra 10mm would have any real adverse effect on the overall geometry. For me, a bit more slack in the head angle is a good thing. Heck, in the whole scheme of things, it's only ~0.5* (-) anyway. The best thing I've done to my Cinder Cone is to go from the stock 68.5* head angle @ 100mm to a ~67* head angle @ 130mm. The bike feels more dialed in than it ever did. It became a much better all-arounder. Really didn't effect it's climbing ability noticeably either.
