    Any women riding a Tanuki?

I'm thinking about getting my wife a Kona Tanuki, but I'm worried that the long top tube and relatively high stand over height (compared to a women's specific spec safire) will be a problem.

Are there any women out there with any experience on a Tanuki?

My wife has a Tanuki 16 and she loves it. She is only 5 foot 3 but standover height is not a problem. She prefers it over her Fisher hard tail, Cannodale Jekyll FS, and Spesh FSR. Very supple and easy to handle. Her only complaint is slightly low bb. Crankarms rub on ground sometimes when going over large roots, bumps, etc. probably need to dial in the rear shock a bit more, too much sag. Grab 'em on sale @ Chainlove or HucknRoll while you can.

I di just that. Got her a 16" (she's 5'5"). The brakes needed bleeding (typical elixirs) and setting up the the rear shock has pretty fiddly, but otherwise it's a sweet bike. Love the wide bars/short stem. Now she just needs to find some time to ride it.

With a sweet bike like that, you gotta make time to ride. Sell the flat screen and go ride! No one dies wishing they'd watch more TV.

Uh, we're not watching TV. We're watching two little kids, 5 months and 2.5 years. And we don't want to sell them because we like them.

Congrats on the new lil' one. So you watch the kids while she rides. You all will be riding soon enough. There are some sweet kido bikes out there.
