2000 chute needs a new fork

I have a 2000 chute with a marzocchi z-3 qr20 (100mm of travel). I would like to get a new fork. Would the '07 Fox Vanilla be too much travel? Would a fork with that much travel change my geometry too much. I don't do jumps and ride in areas with short but steep climbs and lots of rocks and roots.

I was also looking at an '05 AM1 with 110-130mm of travel. If I stay with a 20 mm axle, I could even afford a pike or a z-1 rc2 (that might be too heavy).

Any ideas or suggestions on the subject?

You should be good to go with about 110mm travel,my 2002 chute likes a DJ3 with that amount, pike would be nice as you could tune it until you were happy.
