Why yes, that is blood on my frame... A little morning ride stoke.

Don't you hate when your front tire kicks up a big rock right into your shin.

Yeah right.. you were eating a hamburger on the way up and some ketchup hit your shoe. Still you deserve kudos I don't think I could ride and eat on the trail yet...

kidding.. lol. I didn't actually know that a rock from a tire could do that. Hopefully the evidence looks worse than the actual.

No, you're not the only one. vikb and some others have mentioned it in my last picture post. He told me how to fix it so everyone can see them nomal but I haven't done it yet. Old posting habits die hard. Copying and pasting the HTML code from flickr directly into the text box is apparently the culprit. Then MTBR takes liberty to shrink them horizontally so the ads on the right will still show.

They look normal on my 19" inch work computer screen and my lap top using Explorer. Chrome (home computer) and Safari (iPhone) alternately show them squished our normal. It varies. Not sure why.

Thanks. Ha ha. No crashes on the jumps yet. It was my intention to get some video of me jumping this day.... but ended up just riding and exploring a bit. Still hit the jumps (most of them) but didn't stop to attempt video.

Your rocks must all be embedded (or you're not going fast enough ). Those loose sharp rocks as shown in the seventh picture in particular kick up quite often. It's an all to common occurrence for me. Hurts like the dickens. It's all I can do to not pull over and sit in the dirt and cry.

Yeah, I was surprised when I noticed the amount of blood on my rear triangle. It did bleed enough to get on my sock and shoe but coagulated pretty quick too. Now the lump on my shin... and the pain that it caused lasted a bit longer.

I'm pretty much brand new to MTB. Just started this month. So I'm sure it's both. I have been on more flat and rooty type trails than rocky and I probably am not going all that fast even though it feels very fast some days. Good to know what to expect in the future. lol.

Does this have reference to that big band aid/wrap I saw on Lee's leg in some of his recent picture/video posts? What happened?

Yikes. The looked a bit scary when he pegged that tree. Glad it wasn't worse. That slab must get slick when wet. Looks greasy.

So were you able to fix the seat or did he have to ride it out standing (or risk being violated)?

I actually didn't ride this cause it looked slick...

Lee was able to ride back to the road where we bailed since he couldn't sit on his saddle, which was ok, seat post not. His lower leg was also in a lot of pain, we decided to go the the hospital for an x ray to make sure it wasn't broken! It wasn't.

He was pretty pathetic for a couple of days!
