Here are some pictures from our trip to Canada. It was a blast.
I left July 4 and returned July 19. i figured a longer trip to Canada was in order because of being furloughed so I used those days to the best way I could - on my bike. We rode Silverstar, Sun Peaks, Whistler, Pemberton, and Squamish. We saw lots of pros. We saw Doerfling at Sun Peaks, Garrett at Whistler, rode the lift up with Seb Kemp, chatted with Kenny Smith...amongst others.
Dom successfully crossed the border...though 7 unsure hours later.
The new Podium is a blast. It has been a 2 year hiatus from the Canada. It took a few runs to change gears, but felt comfortable in the park. I recently added the Fox 40 Float, which matches my style.
Dom and I made a wrong turn in Squamish after the 19th hole and ended up doing the Squamish 50 on the Podiums with full faces, leatts, etc. I am glad the Podium pedals well.
To top the trip off, we made a visit to Knolly headquarters and we got to sit down and chat with Noel over a beer. I can't think of a better ending to a trip.
Below are various pictures from the start of the journey to mostly Whistler pictures by our buddy Greg, who injured himself on Easy Does It (haha - joking). Silverstar is me, in whistler - Dom is black and white, and I am in red.
PS- Dom's video will be along shortly.
Great pics Jamie. Hopefully Greg is OK?? Dom needs to find a new country to ride bikes in!
Looks like fun. So jealous.
I am already jealous of our trip. Once you experience it, you want do it again and re-live it all, but then reality kicks in. Until next year....
Sorry about the length of the video. Lot's of footage.
Greg, who injured himself on the first day, took most of the great stills.
Mike J. shot the POV on his first and second days. He has the Neon Green POC helmet.
Dave has a grey shirt and a camelback and is doing the drop on Upper Joyride.
Jamie is in Red and Dark Grey with the Neon Green striped helmet.
I'm in White with black sleeves or in the Royal black in Grey plaid on Top of the World.
Pemberton was insane! Steep and blown out. Not sure it gets easier, but a bit grippier with some weather. Something we didn't get much of, so the brake bumps were evident on some of the connector trails at Whistler.
Great trip with some great riders. Everyone steps it up on this trip.
