    raceface next sl crank

so i have seen the raceface next sl crank at a reasonable price and i am considering it for the endo build as i want to try do a lightish build if i can.
i have read all the horror stories about them cracking where the chainring attatches, and the pedal threads coming out. these reviews were quite old, 2010/11 have raceface sorted out these issues now or are these cranks best avoided.
    thanks in advance, ian.

To the best of my knowledge, the Next and Next Sl cranks are identical, except the SL uses a Ti axle. I am about 215lbs and running the regular Next cranks on my Endorphin with no issue. I also have two sets of the SixC cranks on other bikes, with no issues. The oldest is about 2.5 years old.

They switched to what they are calling "fat tabs" in 2012 I believe.
