    Knolly Merchandise

    hi there, people at knolly
as you can see here in the forum, there quite a few knolly addicts that really are convinced about the quality of your bikes. and as every co. that has a good rep has their own merchandise, i'm wondering why knolly doesn't put up a line of let's say: t-shirts, jerseys, etc. ?
i think in these days it's important to do something beyond the core business for pr purposes.
come on guys, bring up some stuff that we can proudly show/wear.
    cheers

T-shirts do exist, but they're seemingly scarcer than enriched plutonium. I'd love to see some socks and a badass hat. With a proper brim - not one of those wide flat gangsta-style ones you could park a car on.

    haha... agree 100%.
hats are also good ideas. and i saw some whiskey night shirts but to get a hand on those is, as you said, more difficult than getting enriched plutonium.
but nevertheless, for europe, beastie bikes and some other importers brought a series of different coloured tees and hoodies.

Medium shirt over here and a wide/flat gangsta style hat please haha!

Seriously, it would be awesome if they did this, I'm sure they would have a ton of takers. Or stickers at least!!

Some stuff was available a while ago.
With the SAPA ordeal and the new bike designs, softgoods was put on the back burner.
It is still on the stove, but some other pots needed tending first.

When I last spoke to Noel about it, he basically said that they were more interested in meeting the bike demand than putting that energy into softgoods -at least for now. I bug him about twice a year for a promised but long-overdue riding jersey.

I do hope that they get a bit of breathing room and get the softgoods back on track. I would really like my riding jersey, both short and long-sleeve please, as well, I too would like a hat (non-gangster/normal ball cap) and oh btw, a toque would also be nice as well.

I can only bug Dusty for a run of FlexFit 210 hats with an embroidered "K" logo for so long before he starts ignoring my emails.

Shot glasses are probably the least rare of all of the Knolly branded gods. They were given out at Interbike a few years in a row. There may be 1000 or so out there, so yes, still rarer than Plutonium.

Knolly, you are leaving me no choice but to pull my 1983 silk screening equipment out the vault to get some $hit done. I promise I won't bastardize your logo too bad and reek the profits of this glorious business opportunity.

Anyone ever use cafepress to make a shirt? Here's a couple I literally threw together as an example, so I apologize for the hack. You can even pick what type of t-shirt (fitted, organic cotton, etc...)

Those were quick mockups I threw together using the design your own t-shirt feature that cafepress offers. I've never used them for a custom t-shirt, but I have ordered shirts from them in the past that have been pretty good quality.

You can order from cafepress at Mens Custom Printed T shirts - CafePress , just make the design you want and choose the options you want. Not sure where they ship too but it appears they service many countries.

Pretty sure you can't start printing of your own shirts of someone else's brand, or any other merchandise for that matter.

I emailed them asking if I could do the leg work on a run of socks from sock-guy, ball caps, and t-shirts. I figured I could get pricing on a run of a few hundred of each and have them shipped to the Knolly mother ship. I guess I could even set up something on their website to purchase them, but all I got was crickets.

Dear Knolly, please give your customers what they want. Not only give them what they want, but give it to them when they want it, and how they want it with an understanding of why they want it.

That design with the Podium is GREAT Monstertiki! I can't speak for Knolly, but I would guess that this free advertising would only be a bonus!

Come to Summer Knollfest, and you might get some soft goods.

Regarding designs, I am still partial to the big "K" design.

this thread hs been up for 3 weeks. in that time both kevin and noel have posted in other knolly threads but totally have ignored this one. why? maybe not interested? i love the looks of the shirts and the idea. but it was more than a few months ago they mentioned the 3d rockers that people do want and they see the interest in merchandise in this thread and ........ crickets.

i am waiting for the 3d rockers (two ben bolts) and i'd love a shirt or two. looks like others would too. don't see it happening.

Hey Q! Haven't seen you post in a while.

"Interest" and "priority" are two different things. I'm interested in learning to sing and play the guitar; but I've prioritized my time differently. I think most will be happy if Knolly has taken the time required for merchandise and prioritized it towards new bikes and bike upgrades.

If that time has been spent partying all night at strip clubs then only a few of us--mainly Knolly employees--will be happy.

I'm eagerly awaiting some new merchandise as well but if Noel and Kevin aren't addressing this I'm not holding my breath. I'm sure it has little to do with getting a couple designs laid out, after all we're proving that most of us would be cool with a simple graphic on a shirt, hat, jersey, etc. I think it all comes down to who is going to handle the logistics of stocking, managing a web store, shipping items all over the world, etc. I'm sure the Knolly crew is pretty swamped with keeping up with demand on frames, working the logistics involved with shipping frames and kits, setting up sales and distribution channels, designing new bikes, and so on. I doubt that hiring someone just to manage a web store is a priority right now and without that theiy're setting themselves up for a big mess. After fighting through all the production issues over the past years and getting re-established, I doubt they want to walk right into the softgood debacle of 2013.

All that said, I'd love to be surprised! I'll take a zip hoodie with K logo on one side of the chest and Knolly text on the opposite pocket, a couple misc T's, a 3/4 sleeve jersey, and a couple hats with an offcenter K logo similar to the Chromag ones please.

I will take a few tee's if someone is up to deal with the logistics (after getting prior approval from the guys at Knolly of course). Hope it happens.

what i don't understand is that there seems to be some merch production, but it looks as if it is only available to a very few. why is that?
