1. ## Dropper Length

I asked this in the Lev thread but haven't gotten a response. Im hoping one of you can help me out...

Greetings. Is there a way to figure out what length post you need without having the bike you plan on installing it in. I recently ordered a medium Chilcotin and a some parts to go with it (parts are here, bike will be another week). I was unsure as to what length post, but ended up ordering the 150 lev. FWIW I ride a 17.5 trek slash now with a 125mm reverb. I went ahead and measured from the collar to the rails and came up with 210. Is there anyway to correlate that number to the knolly (I hope that makes sense)? Thanks.

2. Just a WAG here but why not measure your current bike from the seat rails to the BB.

Go to your bike manufacturers website to find your bike's seat tube length. Go to Knolly's website and do the same. This should give you an idea of what your total seat height is, interchange the two seat tube lengths and keep in mind the minimum seat height required by the Lev KS Lev sizing

This should give you a better idea until the frame arrives.

3. More WAG'ing

Seat tube length Trek Slash = 16.50" (419)

Seat tube length Chilcotin = 16.9" (428)

Your current set up is 210 exposed post so:

Trek: 419 + 210 = 629

Knolly: 428 + 210 = 638

Knolly medium with max Lev insertion = 428 + 127* = 555

Looks like I mathed wrong should be 428 + 207* = 635

* is B+F+I from the chart below

4. So if im understanding right the post, if slammed all the way down is about 10mm to long? I'm not sure what the 555mm Indicates, that's throwing me for a loop.

5. Fixed my post above cause I can't math.

635 represents the shortest saddle height you can have with a medium Chilcotin and a 150mm Lev.

Math harder damnit man.

7. Hi Ominous,
I am 5'10" and have a Chili with a KS Lev 125mm dropper. However I wanted to have the seatpost even lower for downhills and got a KS Lev 150mm. It works great this way! Hope this is helpful...
