    Hey Ride Everything,

When you pulled your shock out you re-installed it upside down. Flip that baby over!

P.S. I love all of this bike porn. I got a chance to take a 2010 blue delirium with vivid/ Float 170/ xt brakes/ slx cranks and some other trick bits out for a spin today on Fromme in North Vancouver. Soooo much fun! If I didn't already have a Podium and was lined up for a endorphin I would get one asap.

It lowers the centre of gravity the other way round, not by much, but that's the reason everyone else runs it that way

Oh, and I thought it was because the smaller frames couldn't accommodate the piggyback in the upwards position because the shock would come in contact with the frame.
As for lowering the centre of gravity by, possibly, a few grams - ...

I'm almost done building up my Delirium. For the guys running an RC4, what would you suggest is a good starting tune for the LSC, HSC and rebound? I'm thinking maybe just 4 clicks of HSC with LSC and rebound somewhere in the middle. Also, what's strange is I'm only getting 10mm sag with my shock set at no preload. I'm using a 350lb spring and I weigh 140lbs. With my gear on I would probably get another 1-2mm of sag but that's it. Knolly recommends the 350lb. spring for my weight as well.

    any review?

I don't know which one could fit better between Delirium and Podium for bike park, light dh, free ride? I'm afraid that the podium is too much a dh race and probably too much for me (my jump and drops are 5/6 feet no more)

    thanks

I`m the same height and have the same inseam and I ride a medium. I could easily ride a large, we are between sizes. However I like the medium for the riding I do and am not too stretched out. I run a 410mm seatpost and get more than full leg extension.

The podium is a DH race bike. Its a handful when being ridden slow. You need to be riding fast to really appreciate a Podium. I have both a Delirium and a Podium and I would lean towards the Delirium for what you have described. The Podium is low! Even with 165mm cranks I hit my pedals fairly often when riding the North Shore.

I`ve ridden the original DT, a preproduction Delirium and now have a few months on the Delirium. I`ve got mine setup with light parts, DHX air and a Talas 160. It weighs 33.5lbs

The bike climbs very well. The level of traction when climbing tech uphills is quite impressive. Little to no suspension bob is the norm, however I do generally flick the Propedal on for extended climbs.

The Delirium is not a dedicated all mountain machine, and thus it does have some extra beef (read weight) on board to enable you to do large drops and rip bike parks without destroying the frame. The adjustable HA is a nice feature. I`ve got mine in the slack position which gives about a 66 deg HA and a 13.75 in bb ht.

With a coil shock, this bike would destroy all but the most difficult trails in bike parks. I`m on the fence for a Chilcotin in the spring, but with the trails I`ve been taking this bike on I may be better off with my current setup.

The Delirium no question. Like others have said the Podium is a dedicated DH racing bike. I've never ridden one but just by looking at the geometry and design you can tell that it will fly and gobble up stuff. The Delirium is designed to be more snappy and flick-able yet still take some good abuse. I've been riding my Delirium all season as my main rig. When I hit the lifts I throw on some DH tires and soften up the shocks a little bit. I've been able to hit some pretty big stuff with this bike and I have not come close to reaching it's limit. 5/6' drops are nothing for this bike. I've gone that big to flat and/or cased stuff way bigger than that.

I think it depends on your terrain. I use a 37 lb. Delirium as my all purpose bike and I love it. I live in the Boston area which has a ton of gnar on the majority of our trails. I also like hitting the parks but I don't do it enough to justify having a dedicated park bike. The bike is on the beefier side compared to what my buds ride but I'm the only one who isn't replacing frames all the time. I have pedaled this bike on multiple all day XC epics w/flats on and it's not ideal. I was happy on the downs but the longer ups got to me. If I were to ride that stuff constantly I'd shoot for a lesser/lighter bike but for the occasional epic it's just fine. I am planning on lightening up the bike a bit. I'm hoping to get it around 35lbs. w/o sacrificing big hit ability and suspension.

Another option is to beef up the new Chilcotin. I'm tempted to do that myself but I do love the Delirium so much right now and it would probably end up being only a couple of pounds lighter.

    The Creamsicle!
So, I transferred all of the Mango/Orange bling from the Ano Black DT to the new White Delirium..... and the result is a Orange Creamsicle with a coating of Cayenne Pepper.

The guy I bought it from did an amazing job of packing the frame, so much so I had to post a picture of it. :D

The bike will have a Rock Shox Reverb on it come Friday and most likely the AVY Woodie, waiting on the correct reducers. However, the RC4 was a surprise. It felt great. I have yet to chek the sag but I couldn't feel anything on the parking lot test. Put fresh oil in Cragstr's favorite fork and it feels amazing, as it always has. The cockpit feels great. Can't wait to get it dirty.

I'll ignore the comments about the 66, you got lucky my friend. Better think of an alternate cable route method for the reverb, I read they dont come with a whole lot of hydraulic line. Now get your asses up here to ride on Friday!

    That is SWEET!!
Didn't think I would like the Mango on White.
I do...actually better than the Mango on Black-Ano.
( My Delirium is Red on White - will take some pix when the final parts arrive - Reverb etc )

BTW - Do you think the Woodie will mount Res-Up as we discussed?

Initial measurements, yes! We'll find out this afternoon when I get the reducers. Keep your fingers crossed. I am still curious about how good this RC4 feels...........I probably have 45% sag knowing how all of the other FOX shocks have felt. :D

Thanks! I just put the AVY Woodie on the bike and I have a Obtainium Ti 350lb spring. I weigh around 180 lbs. all geared up.

Have you ridden that bike w/ a 400# spring before trying the 350#? If so, how did it go?

I haven't ridden this bike, yet! Just aroudn the block so, no I haven't ridden it with a 400lb spring. It feels great with the 350.

    Yep!
Couldn't pass that one up. I'm just over 5'-10" with a 33-1/2" inseam and it seems to be a good fit.
