All the cool kids have one...

Is what I told my wife when I was trying to get the kitchen pass going for the Endo. Seemed to do the trick because it just showed up yesterday. Stripped the parts off of my Yeti ASR5C last night and got a quick night spin in the rain. Got a little more time on it before work walking the dogs. Initial impressions are damn' this things fast! More to come as I break her in.

    Here's the build:
    Endo Small Raw w/Fox CTD
    RS Rev RC3 150mm 20mm axle
    Stan's Crest on I-9's
RF Next SL bars - 720mm
    Chromag 70mm
    CK Headset
    Oury Grips
Thomson MP - Lev 125mm is in the mail
Roadie Saddle - Will swap for WTB Rocket TI
    Chromag QR collar
XTR Cranks 175mm - RF Next SL 170mm in the mail
    Surly 36t Chainring
    MRP AMg guide
    XTR rear der. w/clutch
    Sram 1090 cassette 11-36t
    Hope X2 brakes 7" front 6"
    KMC chain
2.25 Racing Ralphs (for race day) - Trail King 2.2's in the mail

25 lbs. in race mode. Estimated 27 lbs. w/Lev and big tires.

Anyone need a small Yeti and assorted parts?

AHHHHHHHH!!! THE PEER PRESSURE IS KILLING ME.

Seriously nice build. 27 pounds? Craziness.

Very cool...So damn tempting. 3 Knolly's in a year may just be ridiculous though. Where are you racing?

Ridiculous? You should see my garage...

Weeping Willow in Willowdale. Not looking forward to getting waxed by Spandexed 29r's but should be fun otherwise.

So true, but you'll definitely be having more fun on this bike than those guys.

Nice! Great to see another small endorphin. Curious to hear your comparisons between it and yeti (it was on my shortlist before I got the endo).
And 25lbs is light! I lightened up my endo by putting on a 32mm fork, removed the reverb, but still have trail kings 2.2, and ccdbair, and it came out at 28.1lbs.

Must be nice to be able to strip a Yeti to build a Knolly, lol. I'm still rolling a 05 haro. One of these days, we can always dream right?

Nice build. What brakes are you running? Also, is that an older Revelation, because I thought the largest axle on the new ones is 15mm?

    Thanks man!

I'm unning Hope X2 brakes with 7" front and 6" rear rotor.

I think the fork is a 2013. It's an OEM off a Specy Stumpjumper. Picked off of Pinkbike for a pretty sweet price. Although, I have that new Pike in my sites.

When I started riding I had an GF Hardtail and rode that for like 5 years before I was able to afford a decent full squisher. It's amazing how things change. Just a few years back I thought the idea of owning more than one bike was kooky talk. Now I'm an addict.

No comparison. The Yeti is a raked out XC bike, nothing more. The Endo is a completely different animal. It does everything better. The Yeti was a fantastic fireroad climber. The Endo is just as good but it can handle technical climbing as well. The Yeti had fun geo but you still felt like your weight was over the front of the bike. The Endo is just as balanced as the Chilly giving you a secure feeling when hitting bigger rollers and popping off things. I didn't realize how flexy the Yeti was until I rode the Endo. Night and day difference. I liked the Yeti a lot but I felt limited as it couldn't handle most of the terrain I ride.

Agreed. The Endo is a great long travel XC bike that is far more capable than any other XC bike. When things get really rough, the Chili is still a better choice.
