Did you hit the road gap after? That thing is on my "to do " list for this year. If it flies so well, why are you....?

Hmm, yeah that road gap is funky. The gap its self isn't anything sketchy but generating speed is weird. I hit that line 3 times, 3rd time I was bound and determined to get the speed for the road gap and wound up over-jumping the step-up, landed almost completely off the wood and had to slam into the berm. It was cool but killed all my speed. Ran out of session time, on that feature so we rolled. Short answer, no, but I'm sure you'll crush it, just gotta hit that step-up with the right speed and maintain on to the ramp. We killed a bunch of time that afternoon sessioning the freshly rebuilt Brake Check, so many good lines up there....

    Oregon Trip

Dude! ripping a corner through the fall colors on the Mackenzie River Trail in Oregon last week. Was hoping to post up some Black Rock shots, but it was too muddy. Too slick, at least for me, to hit the Step-up to Road Gap that you hit, Err.

Final ride of 2011 on the Endorphin. Hopefully I'll have the chance to get in a few more fun rides on this beast in 2012 before the replacement Chilcotin comes in. For now I've got to figure out why I'm losing 30-40 psi with every hour of cold weather riding on the Monarch rear. The past two weekends I've made it out for a ride on 30ish degree days and both days the rear has been struggling. Here's a few pics from the New Year's Eve ride.

Gorgeous scenery, very jealous of those riding conditions this time of year.

Where is that if you don't mind me asking? I need to look into moving there, haha.
If jackasses could fly this place would be an airport.

These were all taken right up above downtown Salt Lake City, UT. We're lucking out this year with riding conditions (though the majority of folks won't be calling it luck at all with the lack of snow), normally those trails would have a fair amount of snow and ice but it's been a bit warmer and far dryer than usual. Typically Dec-Feb riding is isolated to roadtrips south to St George or Moab/Fruita when weather permits. I was going to pick up some nice studded tires this year to attempt some of these trails in the cold but haven't needed to just yet.

Ah, ok. I thought that was SLC from the pics, but figured it had to be somewhere else from the lack of snow.

A good friend lives there, I normally visit him a few times a year to snowboard. Beautiful place and great riding and boarding/skiing.

Some POV footage while riding my Chilcotin.

Went out yesterday with a buddy to post up CLOSED signs for a couple of trails that are about to be logged today. He was getting some other footage for a video project he's working on, so I decided to try out my new Contour camera as well. My helmet mount straps were a bit loose and I probably need to change the settings for the dank, dark PNW woods. Anyway, my first go at it....the trails are Evolution, Mullet and Atomic Dog.

Nice build and nice riding. I rode Trumbull for the 1st time last winter. "The Wall" is much sketchier than it looks in pictures.

Thanks Yes, pics and vids don't do the wall justice. Doing it for the first time on a lighter bike was kinda scary, but the Delirium handles it great.

Some Chilcotin action from last Fall. This was a new left hand hip that we built after one of our trails was harvested. We re-opened it and added 4 new jumps in this zone. . The day after we finished, I went up to sample the goods and ran into a photog buddy, Colin Wiseman, and he got a couple snaps of me at dusk.

Not sure exactly what this ridgeline would be called. I headed uphill to the north from the old Bobsled entrance and just kept on that ridge heading east then north once up there. I know there are some towers the next ridge/peak over but haven't been up there and I know there are some over on the other side of City Creek Canyon that i haven't been up to yet either. I'll have to check that out.. The Chilcotins climbing skills have made riding up the steeps to access some of this stuff much more doable. Rode up to the 'living room' overlook a couple weeks back for the first time and couldn't believe how well it pedaled up that super steep, sustained, and sometimes loose grade. I definitely shold have taken some photos with the rock furniture.

Now that you have your Woodie dialed, do you think it would have improved your time/results (more weight vs. better shock)?

dude, interesting question. I honestly feel Yes. There were a couple places during the race where the bike performed totally differently during the race run (compared to my pre ride with the woodie).

In one "stand up power pedal" section I had to back off during the run because the wheel was skipping over the rough ground...but during practise it had stuck to the ground like glue...that specific fact has stuck in my mind.

It really pedals 'light' with the Woodie. Riding my DH trails this week for the first time with the Woodie...that is always my ultimate testing ground. I am very very impressed so far.

My dream is to get to Whistler one day! Im thinking of racing this weekend at Southridge, our local series!?

These pics were taken on my (solo so no action, sorry) morning ride! Note in the second pic at the base of a fun drop the debris left by the granola packers! Trying to kill us, sometimes I approach that without really looking down! Constant battle! This place is loaded with steep, loose, rocky trails with a lot of climbing back out! Nothing like a ocean view ride!

Note the only difference I think is the tire/wheel setup, seatpost and probably a shorter stem for CO!
