180mm fork on Chilcotin?

My LBS has got a killer deal on a Fox Vannila 180. I was wondering if it would be ok to run the Van on the Chilcotin that i am going to build.

it would be OK, in that it is approved. Optimal for you/your riding/trails? Hard to say, horses for courses...

Straight steerer tube with an zero stack headset would get you closer to stock geo. Having come from a D with a 180mm fork to the chili with 160mm, I dig how precise this bike is (6'/L frame/40mm stem)

Why not ? Havent been on it to test it yet due to crazy weather in NJ and having a bad cold so im hoping to ride soon.

I know lol i have been catching a lot of heat about the seat post .. It will be replaced soon with an adjustable post .
