Hopefully your hub will be convertible to 157mm with a new axle or end caps? It is no different than the change from 135mm to 142mm on other bikes. Adapters or axles should be available.

If you can't get them from your LBS, you should be able to get them direct from Mavic. I know the conversion is possible; VanGor is running these wheels on his new Podium.

I started a thread on this back in Nov when I ordered mine:

Confirmed hubs available or have adaptor for the new 12mm x 157mm 'standard'

I am waiting on Chris King atm, but it looks like March-April. I will likely go with Hadley now, or the new Saint M825. Just don't know about the reliability of the Saint.

from what i witnessed in whistler last year at the saint product launch, they arent that reliable. my brother and me where in the garage when alan ( the journo whos review this link is) attempted to strip down his hub to see what the noise was. it wasnt a pretty sight either.

    delirian,

Indeed, my concerns lie primarily from that article and another post of yours I read. However, I do like the centerlock technology. It is indeed superior to other designs, just like 142vs135mm and 157vs150mm axle is superior. An incremental improvement certainly, but better none-the-less.

At this point I am going with Hadley or DTSwiss, since the DT has the centerlock. It all depends on when my Podium gets here. I since I won't do much DH riding until spring anyway, I may still wait for the CK.

    Decisions, decisions....
