Hello everyone!! First post here, and I might as well start it with a pic of my newer to me 2008 XC 604.

Taken with my cellphone today on a paved trail ride with a friend. Low 40's and sunny, and most of the trails here are still not open.

Mostly stock, with a few bits and pieces added on. I just LOVE this bike!!

Just picked her up today. 2008 XCT 555, NEW. It's gonna be a month or two before we get dirty. As I broke my scapula (shoulder blade) 5 weeks ago.

"High end" is all in ones mind. You've got him some fun on 2 wheels now go get it dirty! The smiles he will have are "priceless". Mine just started to ride with me on an entry level bike and he's 30!

Dont have any "dirty" pictures, but its seen its fair share of mud already this year.
First time out trail riding for all of us was Memorial Day weekend and it had rained for 3 straight days and if I remember correctly was one of the wettest Mays in Michigan history. Broke us in right.

it ain't expensive, but it's a steel KHS and it's moto as hell...those silly clipless/platform pedals have been replaced by a pair of vintage 737's.

    KHS Repair

Hoping I can get a couple months out of her. Had a support tube added after the frame failure. I've read that your never supposed to weld a broken or cracked frame. But I did.

Looks great kermit, what all have you done to lighten the bike? I have an XC204 in XL and it weighs nearly 35lbs. I love the frame and ergonomics so much that I don't want a to get a new bike, so I'd like to lighten it as much as I can.

First on my list is new wheels, seat post and handlebars.

May be a bit old for you guys, but this is quite a light and fast bike. Built by Litespeed, frame weight 3.1lbs.

I just bought my second KHS today. A 2006 Solo One with a Rockshox SID on the front. Can't wait to ride it on the trails. I'll post some pics as soon as I can, along with one of my 1993 Montana Pro.
