Yeowzerz! Not too slack? Probably takes on whatever you put in front of it.

Yes 170. It's not too slack for me. That's the way I like it. I race Super D and like the slacker head angle. I had a bike with a 69 degree head angle and it drove me crazy. i bought the Velvet frame last summer and did one race with it and loved it. I can't wait to race it this year. I'm trying to find out what size shock it has and the stroke. I have an RP23 from my old bike that I'd like to put on it.

No that's great just seemed more then the frame geo's setup for. So it's probably around 66.5-67* with that fork now? I have a 555 now and was looking to jump up to a velvet frame with maybe a 150-160 fork. Plenty of bike for me. Bobs-Bicycles had some in magazine add, but doesn't look like they have anymore when I checked the site today. Bummer, snooze you lose.

Best on your SD racing when it starts back up.

Yea, I know what you mean about the limits of the frame. I've heard and read that you're ok if you go 10mm or so over the stock limit. Anyway, if you look at the frame it sure looks like it can handle it. Bob's is where I got mine. I waited and waited because i wasn't sure if I really wanted one. Finally I bit the bullet and just ordered it. And I'm glad I did.
