    525-555 owners

Anyone have one of these and installed a platform shock either RS Monarch or RP23?

Mine came with RS 2.1, which is working fine, but I'm more of an XC rider looking for a litttle help on efficiency while climbing.

    Thx in advance
Wait, who did he tell you that?....

My 555 came with a RS 3.1 shock which has an adjustable platform. I keep mine at a minimal or non setting (1 or 2 clicks) and I honestly have no need for a platform. I run the bike with 30-33% sag, and it does not bob, and it absorbs the hits. Most of my rides start with either a fireroad climb with rocks/gravel or 1.5 to 2 mile road ride, and I have no need for platform in either instance. I dont like to fidget with nobs on a ride anyway.

That's the shock I was hoping for, but since getting the frame for only $499 the 2.1 is a fair comprimise I guess. Maybe sending the shock off to get PUSH'd I'd get the same end result w/ less expense.

BTW, what fork are you running on yours?

    TIA. JMac

I would like to find this out also. I'd love to put a Fox RP23 on my XCT535
