    2003 XC 704r shock replacement

Does anyone have any idea what the Specs are for the SID shock on a 03 XC 704r is? I want to replace it but I need to know the length and stroke of the SID to find a suitable replacement. Any suggestions for the replacement would be helpful.

So a Cane Creek Cloud Nine 6.5x1.5 will be a exact replacement? What size reducers will I need if I need different ones?

I talked to the place selling the shock and they said it comes with the reducers. I would think it would come with the correct size to mount it?

I'm not sure where your buying the Cloud Nine, but if it's Cane Creek direct, they will ask the bike model to send the proper mounting hardware. Another benefit of dealing with them directly is if you send your old shock to them, they offer $100 off as a trade-up. You don't mention if you SID is dead... When I sent them a shock, it was from a K-Mart bike, but it worked as they took anything at the time.

    Details are here:

I am not using mine at the moment, but when I did, it was a great shock!

Well I am buying it for half retail from a place, and I will worry about the spacers when I get it.

They are the same as Fox and newer RockShox. My guess is you'll need to get them as older RockShox's were 12mm rather than 1/2 " of the newer.

    Good luck,

The place that is selling it to me says it comes with spacers, hoping they fit without going to a bike shop and getting some.
