A while ago, kwarwick posted about wanting to run a Sram Xgen 31.8mm high clamp fd on his Dakar Expert. I have been running it on mine for a few weeks and I am starting to experience some shifting problems with it. I have been tinkering and reading everyone's advice on fd setup. It seems pretty much unanimous that everyone suggests 1-2mm of gap between the teeth on the big ring and the outer cage of the fd. If I were to set it at that, the inner cage would hit the lower pivot. Does anyone have any suggestions/workarounds for this?
