Thanks dude, I like yours as well, I actually tried to buy that color frame from Jenson but they didn't have any. They only had the frame for sale in green but I liked just as much so I went ahead with it.

Thanks. I think both colors look great as well. How are you liking all the upgrades over stock? And which upgrade do you like the most?

Well its a split between my fork and rear shock only because of my riding style. My fork has a little more travel and adjustability over stock.

Here's my 2005 Dakar XLT 2.0. I bought this as a frame, with a Swinger shock. The shock blew out last season, so I just bought a new, old, 2008 Manitou S-type SPV shock. We'll see how it lasts. Ok so far. Fork is a Bomber SL 1 with a through axle. XTR cranks, Sram FD, LX RD. Hayes Nine brakes. Some other stuff...

I pieced this together from another bike, swapped some other parts, etc. This has been a big change for me, coming from a lightweight XC background. My last full suspension bike weighed 26lbs wet. The Dakar is pushing 32.5. It's a blast to go downhill with! It's a bit sluggish in technical cross-country trails, but still fun.

I rode this bike in the 2010 Mt. Hood East Side Epic ride. "60 riders, 50 miles, 5600' of climbing and 8600' of descending, 80% singletrack." I was up towards the front of the pack, trading places with a guy on a rigid 29er! I passed him on the downhills, he flew past me on the ups. The Manitou Swinger needed to be pumped up 4 times.

Anyways, great bike, & good times.

    My Jamis

This is a early 90s Jamis Diablo that I got off of Craigslist. The top picture is how I bought it. The bottom picture is how it looks now. This is my new project and will keep updating. I love this bike! I'll probably be moving slow on it since it is my primary bike right now.

I am looking to replace the suspension fork with a rigid fork. The suspension is shot and it is almost impossible to find 1" threaded suspension forks anywhere.

Thanks.. I just painted it and it was supposed to be flat black, but the clear coat changed the color quite a bit. I think it looks pretty cool like this, I'll probably get it powder coated eventually but this works for now

here is my parker- i just stripped it a few days ago. I had all mis-match colors from breaking ****. Jamis i guess doesnt care what color part they send as long as it fits haha.

I just put on the slx RD. So far, not sure I like it. I miss my XT shadow I had. I ripped that one off during the last superD I did. All parts except the cranks are DH parts, and it weights 34.7 lbs. I could get it to 31 if I were to go to a rp23 and lyrik.

I never had the float, only the bar. It handles really well, but its heavy. A tradeoff.

I was a bit mad about it, I mean there really is no excuse to be sending bright red parts for a grey bike. Its cool though, I'm ordering a bottlerocket in a few weeks. so this frame will be for sale.
