Owners of Jamis 2011 B1 / 2012 Pro: Rear Tire Fitments?

    Hey now,
X thread from 650b Forums, where there's no responses...........

I've been watching these bikes for a while now. I rode a 2010 and loved it, but then had 3 operations so I was out for about 1 1/2 years. I converted a Turner RFX during my recuperation which was cheap and fun. But I can only run a 2.1 IRC (panaracer) Fire XC or a 2.1 Neo Moto in the rear. The 2.1 IRC is a tiny tire, but grips really well. The NeoMoto has a lot of problems in the wet and spins out a lot. We're wet / moist alot here in the northeast. I've switched to a 2.3 Nev in the front and while its not fast rolling, it grips well. Now my question.

What rear tire are you running in the rear of the Jamis besides the supplied OE tire?

Does anything besides a 2.1 fit in the chain/seat stays?

If not, I wonder if Jamis just used their same rear triangle from their other bikes? And if yes, so much for a 'specific' 650b frame.

    Thanks!
    Sbob

Thanks, I'm pretty sure the frames are the same, just the level of equipment and fork/shocks

    Thanks again for your response.
