Hot damn. As it is I'm gonna lose quite a bit of weight, new wheels, less post, no front brake or derraileur, only one front ring...

might gain a bit with the pike though

Yea u will drop a few lbs for sure.

Quick search on pike says it weight 2350 grams, which is Approx 5.1lbs. I weight the rst when i swapped and that mufuka weighs just at 7lbs. My dj1 fork is right at 2200grams. U will notice a difference for sure.

Got my new crankset and pedals in too, will throw up some pics when I get it on.

id be lying if i said i hadnt been thinking hard about running SS. been hitting the trails and staying in one gear to see how itd be. might look into seeing how difficult it would be to switch back and forth depending on where i go riding.

as promised. new pics with new seat, post, pedals, and crank. having some chainline issues at the moment. should have it all cleared up tomorrow

at one point bike was 37lbs, right now sits at 28.8

I thought it was ISCG, but I'm really unsure about that.

My bike and outlaws are coming in tomorrow, along with a replacement hanger to fix the one I destroyed a while back.

Just pick up an 08 Komodo for my kid. He is a tall 8yr old at 4' 8" tall and a 24" inseam. It's his first 26" bike. After two rides on borrowed bikes I figured it was time mostly because I found it for $350 from Jenson .

Haa can't post pics until 10 posts...I'l be back...

    He's pretty happy, I'd say.

First trip out on this bike. His 2nd ride on a 26" bike. He's 8yrs old and is a huge Komodo fan.

    Greatest Komodo post to date!

Tell your boy that us grown-ups are jealous of his bike. I wish I would have had something so PIMP when I was his age.

    Sick whip for a kid!

Here's mine with the new upgrades

    Fork at 140mm

    Fork at 100-ish

I gotta say, I like how it feels at 100mm, maybe just cuz it's a new feel.

Sorry for the crappy quality, my phone was so low charged it couldn't use it's flash haha.

I gotta admit I have had zero real ride time on it so far since I did this to myself

    Not a biking injury...

but from the brief ride around the hood, it feels pretty darn great. Finally my wheel doesn't get slammed into the chainstays every time I hop a curb...

I will say, the new axle had me confuzzled for a few minutes haha

Couple more pictures, one of non drive side, with a couple new stickers to add to the already retarded look I've got going on haha

and one of the first sticker I ever put on it, when I first got it. Hard to see without the flash, but definitely my favorite

    Sort of an inside joke.....

Frenchie: Looks KILLER dude. I'll probly end up going that route eventually. Definitely look way more like a dj bike now. Is that a new guide/bash I see?

Chelbo: I prefer to stand really. Never been much of the sit and spin variety

I keep mine up while getting up the mountain and slam it for the ride back down! Next upgrade will be an adjustable seat post.

LOL...I don't have a mountain. Just flat with punchy climbs. If I stand the whole time though....I feel like alot of my energy is absorbed in the LT fork.
