    Jamis Dakota AL questions....

I currently own a '96 Dakota AL and absolutely love it. However, I've been thinking of upgrading to disc brakes, but the frame does not have the mounts for it. It does, however, have 2 small threaded holes on the upper part of each drop out. Does anyone know what the purpose of these holes is? Is there an adapter that can be used to mount a disc brake to this frame?

Another question I had was, does anyone know where I can find a 2005 Jamis Dakota AL Ano-Gray Frame only? I've only come across the complete bike.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

The holes are for mounting rear racks and/or fenders. There is no legitimate adapter for your '96 frame...time for an 11 year old aluminum frame is like 100 years old in human years.

Those frames at are a great deal
