    Enter The Dragon

Don't know if I have ever posted a pic of my Dragon on here. Certainly not since some upgrades (fork, disks, etc).

The bike is used basically once a year (sick, I know) for a little 100 miler race we have here in Virginia. Maybe for one or two other rides. It's a great bike, just not suited for the extremely technical terrain we have in my area, for that I ride a 38 lb, downhill tire, double squishy bike.

Anyway, this is all about the Dragon....I do wish I got to ride it more.

    90-something XL frame
    Fox 32 TALAS Fork
    King headset
    Thomson stem/post
    XT wheelset
    Specialized strongarm crankset
    UN-72 square taper BB
    WTB 2.4 Mutanoraptor tires
    XT shifters and deraileurs
    Avid mechanical disks
    Easton high-rise monkey bar
    Oury glue on grips
    Fizik Gobi saddle

I hear you on the Dragon, I just moved back to Virginia and my Dragon is seeing less ride time. I am fortunate to be both close to technical and smooth trails so it depends on what I am in the mood for. The Dragon to me is the best mountain bike that I have ever had as far as handling. I just point it and it goes .... goes fast. Very quick and nimble for sure.

Now for the rough stuff it is back to Ellsworth Truth. I really wish I could take the handling for the Dragon and the suspension design of the Ellsworth to make my pefect XC bike.

My build has varied from 1X1, 3X1 and now fully geared
    Medium Anniversary 05 Dragon
    Cane Creek Solo headset
    R7 Platinum fork
    Avid BB7 Mechanics brakes
    X9 shifters
    XTR front/ X9 rear deraileur
Ritchie WC stem w/Easton Monkeylight SL bar
    WTB grips
    Thompson seat post
    Selle Italia Flight saddle
    TruVativ Stylo cranks
    Time Atack pedals
Custom built Mavic 617 w/WTB laserdisk hubs
Serac XC 2.1 front matched w/ Serac XC Lite 1.95 back

Last checked it weighed around 25.6lbs
