    '06 XLT 2.O Parts

    Hey,

Just bought an '06 XLT 2.0 and am curious if these are the stock stem, bar and seatpost. There is no mention of truvativ anywhere.

How do these Easton components compare to the Truvativ ones?

    Easton > Truvativ

There have been complaints about Easton seatposts, but as far as stems and bars go, Easton is right up there.

I'll put it this way: If I broke any Easton component, I would not buy or even consider a Truvativ replacement.

I have had bad luck/just bad parts with Truvativ. I have given them several chances due to recommendation by mtbr, the LBS, etc., but I won't be going back.

    I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

I think I would rather have the easton parts than the stock truvativ parts but that is just me...

    Umm...that red color is a dead giveaway...thats a 2005 XLT 2.0!!!

    Check out the MBA review

Still, it should have come with Truvativ...but I'd consider the Easton an upgrade if anything.

I'm quite certain its a 2006. The 05 have 25th aniversary written on them.

    This is a US 2006 XLT 2.0

Maybe the Canuck model 2006 came in red or something

Mine is identical to the pic but in red/orange instead of green. It has the black orange two tone frame.

its my understanding that the 06 models were only offered in the green/black and orange/black.

i ordered an 05 last November, in the red color like the original post, but they were out of 21" frames, so my LBS hooked me up with the green/black 06 for the same $$

hard to say for sure, but there is a jamis rep that regularly posts here, maybe he could answer why the differences.

maybe it was built from an old stock frame??

looking closer at your pics, yours is a two tone paint job so maybe thats the orange/black (sort of orange)

the 05 was full red with no black I think

It does look more orange than the pic in real life.

I'm wondering about the front shock now. Is the 06' Minute 2:00 that came on the xlt 2.0 only a coil shock. It's advertised to have SPV but i dont see that anywhere on the shock or anywhere to adjust it.
