    05 Dakar

Anyone have experience with them? This is for the base model (pictured below) I just reciently joined the Jamis family by buying a komodo that was suppost to be my XC/AM bike yea, that lasted a long time. its now a FR/AM bike.

Thing that actually draws me to this dakar, is V brakes. easy to adjust, less mainenence and if the wheel, since thats the rotor, comes out of true, they wont hiss and squeak. but thats besides the point.

The price is whats got me on this. its avalible in my size (how convenient for my wallet huh? ) for $462.00 Think its worth going for? I know its limits and I'm 100% sure it would stay a XC bike for me.

again, anyone have experience with these?
    -Thanks.

for the money it's hard to beat but you aren't getting very good components and it's a tank. not sure on weight but it is probably 35lbs.

yea, I tracked one down locally. Not interested anymore haha!

Its exactly like you said, this one had a different fork. But it still, really weighed like 35 pounds. I was hoping for like 25-27 range

pshht I guess I'm just too used to hardtails. like my 33pound DH hardtail. or my 28 pound DJ bike. Cant forget the 26 pound XC hardtail I built up for less than $200.00
