    Van Hollowpoint to victory!

I guided the infamous Van Hollowpoint to a victory at the 2004 Treadhead XC in Johnson City, TN. I biked in the beginner men's division (hey, it is only my second race ever!).
The hollowpoint was really a great choice of bike for the course, having some pretty rugged climbs and downhills. It soaked up all the bumps and cruised on the smooth sections. Can't wait to go again!

... and if we just ... yes, purple

Yep, it sure is! And yes that is an old anodized blue zoom handlebar.
The crown is not painted yet. The fork suffered bushing damage in that race and I'm waiting on the replacement parts. When I rebuild it, the Duke is going to get the complete paint treatment. I'll post you some photos when I get it done in the next week or two.

Way cool! Art you can ride. That's gotta' turn some heads. Are you going to do anything about the blue bar and tires?
