I am currently using a Manitou Q (nonadjustable-other than air pressure) rear shock on my early 2003 Hollowpoint frame. I run air pressure of about my body weight (170#) to get the recommended 1/3rd sag for my intermediate level Midwestern XC riding. The bike handles fine, but I know there are better shocks out there. I've looked at Cane Creek's AD-12 and Risse's Genesis, but wonder if I these would be more 'lateral substitutions' rather than significant upgrades over my Manitou. What would be a few logical upgrade choices for the HP frame?
