    Smaller Fork on Warrior

Would it be safe/maintain good performance, if i dropped from the 100 mm Manitou Six to an 80 mm Skareb Super on my 2004 Warrior Comp because the Six is adjustable from 80-100 with spacers but it is set to 100 mm. Just lookin for technical support here and any comments. Mostly for XC use.

Safe? Yes. Performance? Depends on how it rides now. Dropping the front end by 20mm will steepen your head tube angle by approximately one degree, causing the bike to handle one notch crisper / snappier / twitchier compared to what you have now.

Before spending the money, why not do the adjustment on your current fork and see how 80mm mode feels? Manitou forks are pretty simple to do surgery on, and the procedures are ususally well-documented on their website ( ).
