Hello all...A few of you own sinister comps out there. What type of drivetrain do they mean when they just say Deore, is it lx, obviously not xt or xtr. But just wondering which ones. THanks maybe alivo!!!

awhile ago, shimano seperated deore from XTR, XT, DX, and LX (and basically moved DX from their standard line). Deore is just the step down from LX. So right now, the standard deraileur/shifter line goes like this:
I personally have deore shifters with a XT rear derailler (hollowpoint sport setup). I upgraded the shifters to XT and really didn't notice much of a difference. The deore components are pretty good.
Ok I get it, Deore is a classification just like LX, XT, and XTR... Sweet now i know where i stand.
