    Hollowpoint - fork crown interference

Actually talking a North Face from Galyans that I got for my kid on a wicked deal. Size small 17". Came with a Fox vanilla fork and the caps on the top of each leg don't clear the frame. Seems like something may suffer over time. Is this typical? Big deal? Workaround?
    Thanks,
    R

*Probally* not to worry. The TPC knob on my '01 Manitou X-Vert, when dialed out, clashes with the down tube, but I haven't managed to snap it off nor ding the frame in the 1.5 years I've been riding it.

For that matter, I have a similar conflict on my hardtail (Van Dessel frame / White Bros fork) and don't think I've managed to chip the paint in two years of use.
