    2008 azure versus previous years

Was the 2008 Azure frame upgraded from the 2007 frames? Any weight reductions made or rear wheel clearance increase made?

The main frame on the 2008 was made from Easton tubing. I'm pretty certain the design was unchanged from 2007, so rear tire clearance is still an issue if you want to go bigger than a 2.1. Based on weights published in the IH catalogues, there doesn't appear to be a significant difference between '07 & '08 models.

Thanks. Was the main frame on the 2007 models also made from Easton tubing?

No it wasn't - I'm pretty sure 2008 was the first (and only) year IH used Easton tubing on the Azure. The model was discontinued for 2009.

Given the choice between '07 & '08, Easton tubing is probably more desirable. IMO the difference in use would be negligible though (all other things being equal).

If I was looking at a complete bike instead of a bare frame, the deciding factor would be the parts spec rather than the frame tubing.
