I bought a IH Rogue '04 for $60 off Craigslist:
frame + fork (Judy SL) + Hayes 9 hydraulic brakes + crank w/22t (single speed)
The previous owner tried a single-speed conversion.
I had a wheelset (WTB speed disc) + Bontrager tires ($50 off Craigslist), & put them on during the purchase..
I rode this thing back (along with public transportation = bus, w/bike rack) with a loose chain. Simulating a "single speed", chain kept ghost shifting in the rear, & sometimes chain fell off front chainring!!
I had a Forte rear derailleur ($24) & Shimano Alivio 8 spd shifter. Installed that.
So, I have a 1x8 to play with. Just realized I didn't need to go chasing for a 3-ring crank.
Can someone confirm this IS a 2004? Bikepedia only shows a 2003 Rogue, which doesn't have a Judy SL fork. So, I guess it's a 2004.
