Nexus = mountain?
So in my limited research, it seems everyone says that IGH's aren't approved or intended for mountain bike use, but when I bought the Nexus 8 shifter I plan to use with an Alfine 8 on a mountain bike I noticed that it says "intended Use - Mountain"?
Shimano Nexus SL-8S30 Internally Geared Hub Shifters (100113361)
What gives? Has Shimano decided to give give the green light? Has Nexus always been mountain approved? Should I be using Nexus instead of the Alfine 8?

Nexus IGHs don't have a disc brake option. That may limit the MTB application interest.

hmmm, I'm building a V-brake bike. Could do either or I guess. Any advantage with Nexus 8 over Alfine 8. I noticed the specs said 130mm spacing instead of the 135mm found on most MTB's.
