    Karate Monkey bb for Nexus?

Wanting to build a commuter KM with Nexus. I already have a crank w/ 42t and bash guard (square taper), but I am unsure that it will work with the flared chainstays of the KM without throwing off chainline. Any KM riders have advice?

Chainline is 47mm. 42 tooth is a big gear to be putting in the middle position. I doubt you'd have chainstay clearance. You could set it up by eye and see if it will clear before spending money on a bb. With a 42 tooth you'll have some serious speed. A 36 tooth will give you 22 mph at 90 rpm.
