    internally geared Cross bike?

I'm looking at getting the Marin Lombard

But I want to convert it to an internally geared rear hub. What I would like to use is the Sram I-Motion 9 disk hub.

Any one know if its even possible with an STI shifter? It would be really cool for a city bike. Single speed with 9 gears and disk brakes.

Only shifter for an im9 I am aware of is the factory grip shifter. Alfine/Nexus 8 have a special brifter.

Someone makes an adapter to run Gripshift on the end of a roadie drop bar.

Some tandems use them to mount a drag brake.
