    Brake disc for Rohloff hub

Can't find any answers to this, so I'll start a new thread...

I'm after a 160mm Rohloff rotor for Hope Mono Mini brakes.

Does the rotor have to be specifically for Hope Mono Mini's, or will any Rohloff compatible rotor work?

Rotor should match the brake or you run the risk of wearing a ridge in the pad the will cause annoying squeal - what size do you need?
    I have a 160mm I could sell.

    I need a 160mm rotor disc.

The discs on my Mono Mini's are smooth profile [i.e. not saw tooth], but then other Rohloff compatible disc for various makes of brake callipers are smooth profile as well.

As long as the rotors are smooth profile, can they be used, regardless which make of calliper they are made for?

No, if the pads are bigger than the disc, a ridge can wear that will cause an annoying squeal at best & at worst the unworn part of the pads will touch & stop the pads contacting the disc - these were such a set of pads from a customer complaining that his rear brake wasn't working!

    Thanks for the graphic explanation

Now all I have to do is find a rotor for less than 60!

Thanks for the offer, but I'll upgrade my brakes before I'll think of getting a new rotor.

    Appreciate the advice, though.
