    Alfine Chainline Question.

I just got my hands on a second hand Alfine.

I want to run it with an XT HT2 crank with the ring in the middle position.

So do I have to reverse the sprocket on the Alfine to bring the chainline out to line up with the chainring?

What about a flat cog on the Alfine. Will that work with the same crank?

Flipped will give 47mm. Unflipped is 42 (I think). Typically the big S recommends 47 to 50 mm chainline for the middle ring. Shouldn't be a problem to work all that out.
