How about this? Who can tell me anything about it? Of course other than it is a thing of beauty and appears to have an unusual shifting mechanism.

hey guys, finally have the net again.

the trek bike was a slope style with a gyro-like hydraulic set up to allow bar spins, and the shifter was mounted to the downtube to elminate any other cables. it was a r2c from the sram TT line.

the chain is a KMC to allow grinds, or to at least prevent extra wear which may occur during grinding.

the Kuat bike rack with a built in work clamp was a great idea, and lighter than it looks.

the Reverb seatpost was 125mm with adjustable speed and unlimited variablitiy. very cool. also, it showed virtually no play! would like to see how that holds up under use.

The chris king hub with the bolt-on front was something I had been hoping for, but will have to hope a little longer as it is a one-off prototype... for now.

the rear cassette shots are a 6 speed on a single speed ck hub from Jones and the other is Sam hills championship bike. 6 speed on a regular hub with a spacer.

the orange reba was on a Jet9. it is supposed to be available from Niner in the future(next year?) the caps were custom etched for niner.

feel free to ask about anything else.

Just checked out your blog posts. I like that you search out and post the odd stuff that no one else seems to. You found some really nice and interesting bikes, and gear so far. Keep it up.

I believe it is the pull-pull system... there have been a few like that, interesting that it is still around, you would think it would be very positive in both directions.... but it's been around a while so there must be something keeping it from the market place...

Check out the DK Exo chain, same concept, and came out a few months ago. Also comes in colors.

Why is it not a regular CK with fun-bolts?

It might be that simple, but it's not presently offered. I think it's that they simply don't produce a 100mm funbolt axle at this time.
