    VPP maintenece help

New to VPP suspension, and just need to know if a special grease gun is needed? Intense website doesn't seem to have any info and their link for getting a manual on the bike is a dead. bike is a 2013 Carbine 275 if that makes any difference.

It does make a difference. Intense changed the type of zerk fittings they used. My 2009 Tracer VP has the old flush ones that are very small, and I had to buy a special grease needle. Even that works very poorly, so much so that next time I do the bearings, I'm going with sealed bearings. Later bikes have much larger zerk fittings, but again they are the non-ball type. Your Carbine should have the very latest, though I'm not sure what style that is.

I bought something like this to use with my "normal" compact grease gun:

You can always take the zerk fitting out and pump grease directly into the chamber.

CTB & mbell thanks for the info, seems a grease gun of any type would work assuming I get the right fitting.

Is there a wrong type of grease or is anything better than nothing?
