    Do-it-all

I started a small bike company last year and had to sell all my bikes to fund it. Not like I had a hundred bikes or something but it hurts selling your loved ones on eBay.

Anyway 10 months on and after the forced clearout, companies running and I decided to get a new love... a do it all weapon that everyone on this thread knows pretty well.

    Up and Down

    Down

    Changeover takes about 30 mins.

Thanks to everyone on this thread I've been following it for 5 months or so and you convinced me to get the Uzzi you see here.

    Awesome man, loooooooove it.

I just got my Uzzi; I have a `05 180mm Dorado and I`m awaiting a 2011 Fox 36 and I`m planning to switch them out like you. What`s your front brake situation? Are you using one front brake, or two? And what headset did you go with? Any feedback to report?

Cheers, Running a Hope M4 front and rear. 200mm rotor works pretty fine and stops me on the button, but I'll possibly experiment with a V2 on the front at some point.

Headset was a CK devolution. Didn't really have much option on this as I needed a headset I could use a 1.5" (Lyrik) and a 1.1/8" (40) steerer, without any fuss.

Feels a bit weird having quite a high front end, as I've been used to running Zero Stacks and flush reducer headsets, but it's a whole lot cheaper than new set of forks plus I like 1.5" steerers' in general.

I'm off to the Alps later this week to 'rag' it so I'll let you know which set up I prefer!

Fixed rotors for Hope V2 brakes. I was supposed to get a smaller rotor for the rear, but somebody made a mistake and I ended up getting 203 for the front and rear. A smaller one has been ordered...

I do not find these discs not ventilated for my V2 by any side.......the Ventilated ones sound very much (clink, clink, clink) and they will weigh more.

    Great bike.

Thanks. You can order the rotors through any Hope dealer, they are even cheaper then the ventilated ones. I do think the (thinner) ventilated ones are a bit lighter though, but the difference is marginal and these have better clearance (ventilated would not fit with my fork / hub in the front).

    Ooh... Bos

Isn't it a pity to pair it with the DHX 4?

Couple recent updates and a (slightly) better pick. Swapped out the GARBAGE prowler mx tires for a set of minion dhf 2.5 3c and a minion dhf 2.35 60a paired with a larsen 2.35 for climbing / trail days. Also swapped out the bar for rf atlas fr. Saint cranks, e13 lg1+ and tapered 2011 fox talas 180 rc2 on the way.

    Hi,
i'm considering to invest my hard earned money into the UZZI VP.

    - BUT there is one big problem: WHAT SIZE should i take M or L.

This annoying question is probably asked twice a week- BUT for those who are in possession of this toy- please give an Answer!!

    I'm 185cm & innerleg 86cm
Riding style is more descent and singletrail- i really do like compact bikes but i don't know if i would be comfortable with a M?

    i don't have a chance on demoning.....

    Cheers from Berlin

I would say L with a 0 set back post and short stem. I built mine with a 20mm set back post and 90mm stem (accidently, thought I was using a shorter one) and the fit is great. Will be testing with my 70mm stem, but set back post is staying 189cm).
